Find a part number

Three ways to reach the right cylinder. All three accept what you already have in front of you.

By OE number

Have the original manufacturer number off the old unit? Send it and we return the equivalent cylinder, its bore, port thread and mounting distance.

Send an OE number

By aftermarket reference

Numbers from TRW, LPR, Metelli, A.B.S., Delphi or Bendix. Give us the reference and we map it to the cylinders we supply.

Send a reference

By vehicle

Make, model, year and which cylinder family is all we need. Fastest route if you do not have a part number handy.

Glossary

Terms your buyers will use

What is an OE number?
The original equipment part number issued by the vehicle manufacturer. It is the most reliable way to identify the correct replacement cylinder, and the number your customers will quote to you. It is stamped or cast into the original unit, not printed on the invoice.
What is a cross-reference?
The number an aftermarket brand such as TRW, LPR, Metelli or A.B.S. assigns to its equivalent of an OE part. One OE number often maps to several aftermarket references, and one reference can cover several OE numbers — which is why a cross-reference alone is not enough for hydraulics.
What is a bore diameter?
The internal diameter of the cylinder, written in millimetres or in fractional inches. It sets how much fluid the piston displaces per millimetre of travel, so it decides pedal travel and pedal effort. A 7/8 inch bore is 22.23 mm — not 22 mm.
What is a concentric slave cylinder (CSC)?
A clutch slave cylinder built around the release bearing and mounted on the gearbox input shaft, replacing the external cylinder and the release fork. It cannot be repaired and must be bled with a pressure bleeder rather than by pumping the pedal.
What does DOT 3 / DOT 4 mean?
The two most common glycol-based brake and clutch fluid specifications. The seals in a cylinder must be compounded to suit them — EPDM and SBR are the correct families. Mixing fluid types or using a mineral-based fluid destroys the seals.
What is DUPRO?
During-production inspection. We monitor the line early in a run so deviations are caught while they can still be corrected on the same batch, rather than at pre-shipment when it is too late.
